Volunteer Proctors Needed
Our schools request parent and community volunteers to commit a few hours to helping our teachers and principals administer end-of-grade and end-of-course tests during the month of May. This is to ensure accuracy, integrity and fairness in the evaluation of our students’ learning.
Testing Proctors are needed to:
- Assist teachers in the careful distribution of testing materials
- Help to ensure that classrooms are orderly and quiet
- Monitor the room during testing time to ensure students are following directions and refraining from sharing responses
- Assist teachers in collecting materials at the end of the test
To volunteer to serve as a proctor, you must register at a WCPSS school. Registration is weekdays May 14 through June 15 for year-round schools, during school hours. Proctors must be registered at least five days before they are needed.
Teachers will have specific instructions for you, and a brief training session will be provided.
