After the March 31 Bimonthly Bulletin, we will transition away from a phone reminder for the Bimonthly Bulletin and only send the bulletin via text message and email. If you did not receive this Bimonthly Bulletin via text and email, we do not have your accurate contact information in the right place in PowerSchool. To update your contact information, complete the Student Contact Form on our website under forms. It is also linked here for your convenience. To manage your preferences, you will have to create a parent infocenter account by clicking here. To receive text messages specifically, you will have to text "yes" to the number 67587. Thank you for your patience as we make this transition in conjunction with WCPSS.
Student Services will host the College Admissions Panel on Thursday, March 30 at 6:30 in the auditorium. Representatives from local colleges and universities will be on hand to present information and answer questions about the college admissions process. Colleges and universities that will attend include (but are not limited to): ECU, Duke, NC State, Meredith, and UNC.
On Thursday, March 30 we will host the Vehicle Injury Prevention Program for a Very Important Person (VIP for a VIP) during 2nd and 4th periods for our Seniors. Due to seating capacity in the auditorium and temporary bleachers, this program is for senior students only. We don't have the capacity to accommodate parents. The program consists of an educational presentation that includes personal accounts by police, EMS, and parents of tragic motor vehicle deaths resulting from unsafe driving habits. The afternoon session consists of a dramatic accident re-enactment in our student parking lot. This program is intense, powerful, emotional, and graphic at times. However, we have seen how it has the ability to positively influence the driving habits of our students. For more information, visit their website at http://www.vipforavip.com/. We will have guidance counselors available to speak with students who need additional support during or after the program. If you have questions or feel like this program may be too intense or emotional for your child, please contact Guidance Counselor, Dr. Jessica Huber at firstname.lastname@example.org. If necessary, we can make alternate arrangements for your student.
All PAC Camps are canceled this summer due to facility renovations and upgrades. We look forward to returning for the summer of 2018.
