There will be no school on May 29 due to the Memorial Day holiday. Enjoy your time with family and friends!
The Before School Care program at Ballentine Elementary school is available M-F from 7:00-8:45. The cost is $96.25 per month. The children get daily time to play active games in the gym. They also rotate through other activities such as board games, puzzles, LEGOs, computers, etc. This program also helps social development as the children interact and build relationships with each other. Registration for the 2017-2018 program will begin at 7:00am on Friday, June 2 on a first-come, first-served basis (the student must be registered to attend Ballentine Elementary for the 2017-2018 school year before you can apply for Before School Care). There are limited spots available for the program.
Meet The Teacher for the 2017-2018 school year will be held Thursday, June 8 from 5:30-6:30pm (for rising 1st through 5th graders). Please join us to meet your new teacher, get your supply lists, complete student information forms, meet your classmates, and review your transportation for the new school year. (Rising kindergarten students will meet their teachers following their staggered entry times)
Some students are talking about the miniseries "13 Reasons Why," dealing with a student's death by suicide. We do not recommend that your student watch the series. However, if you choose to watch it, here is some helpful information for healthy discussion about it.
There are two information sessions in May about upcoming changes to your child’s school assignment.
There are two information sessions in May about upcoming changes in Extended Content Classes that will occur over the next four years.
