  • Kindergarten Registration and Orientation

    Kingergarten Registration and Orientation: Kindergarten Registration for the upcoming school year can be completed Monday-Thursday from 10 AM-2 PM in the main office. See the WCPSS Student Assignment website for more information. For more information about preparing for kindergarten you can view the ARES Kindergarten Orientation presentation.

  • Duke Football at Alston Ridge!

    Thanks to Coach Roper and his family for helping to arrange for facilitating these great student athletes' visit to ARES. These Blue Devil players came to share a message of mentorship, fitness, and scholarship with out students. Our parents provide amazing opportunities for our students--through our ARES PTA and in their individual partnerships with our teachers and school. Thank you for all the ways that our Alston Ridge families are supporting our Alligators!

  • Principal's Message Update

    Families and Community Members always have access to the latest information and reminders impacting Alston Ridge Elementary School through the Principal's Message's page. Look for the Phone Messenger Archive to view text of recent whole-school announcements that are delivered through the WCPSS Phone Messenger system. Updates will include information on upcoming events, district policies and updates, and the goings on at Alston Ridge Elementary School.

  • TGA Golf and Tennis Afterschool Programs at Alston Ridge

    Interested families can register for the community-based TGA Golf and TGA Tennis programs that will begin on March 28th to support students developing their skills in the lifelong sports of golf and tennis. All equipment is provided by the program's experienced coaches. Programs are fee-based and occur on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays through June 30th.   • Volunteer in our School!

    Online volunteer registration can be completed during school hours at any Wake County Public School building. All returning volunteers must re-register prior to October 31st to ensure that there is no break in eligibility. Prospective volunteers will submit to a background check prior to approval by WCPSS to volunteer.

  • Community-based Afterschool Programming

    A variety of community-based programs will begin offering fee-based afterschool programming for Alston Ridge students. Programs include the Alston Ridge Band, TGA Tennis and Golf, and Young Rembrandts Drawing Program. Information about registration is available on the program website.

  • Track Change Request Period

    The track-change request period for the 2017-2018 school year has closed. The ability of the school to honor track change requests is limited to the space available on the requested track. Few track change requests are anticipated year-to-year due to continuing growth. The track-change request period for the 2017-2018 school year was communicated to all currently enrolled families: The track-change request period for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year was from 02/27-03/03 for students currently assigned to Tracks 1, 3 and 4.Track-change request forms were available in the main office at Alston Ridge ES and were completed in person. The track-change request period for students currently assigned to Track 2 was from 03/06-03/10. All request forms were received in-hand by 4:30 PM on the Friday of the track-change request window.
