The Alston Ridge community provides a safe and welcoming environment in which students develop a true love for learning through challenging and enriching educational opportunities that advance their unique talents to meet and exceed diverse individual needs.
Beginning at 9:30AM on Thursday, 10/27, families of 3rd grade students are invited to learn more about the AIG identification process in Wake County Public Schools and the recent administration of the CogAT test as a universal screening measure for all Grade 3 students.
Online volunteer registration can be completed during school hours at any Wake County Public School building. All returning volunteers must re-register prior to October 31st to ensure that there is no break in eligibility. Prospective volunteers will submit to a background check prior to approval by WCPSS to volunteer.
A variety of community-based programs will begin offering fee-based afterschool programming for Alston Ridge students. Programs include the Alston Ridge Band, TGA Tennis and Golf, and Young Rembrandts Drawing Program. Information about registration is available on the program website.
Kindergarten Registration for the 2016-2017 school year can be completed Monday-Thursday from 10 AM-2 PM in the main office. See our flyer for more information, and check out our Principal's phone-message to all families and the WCPSS Student Assignment website. Information from Orientation is available in the Orientation Presentation that was shared on May 4th.
